This page will be used to provide information for back to school. The below information pertains to the 2021-22 school year. The page will be updated for the 2022-23 school year in the summer of '22.

We'll keep all of the handiest of links and information for back to school here. If you have other questions, find us on social media or info@wainwrightpta.org and ask away.
Academic Calendar - This is the HISD calendar, not a Wainwright-specific calendar. We will post a Wainwright-calendar as soon as it is available. Open House will occur in September.
Virtual Meet the Teacher via Microsoft Teams - August 20 1pm-3:30pm

Pickup / Dropoff - Dropoff begins at 7:15 am. Pickup will begin at 3 pm. You will need your yellow tag in your vehicle to pickup your child. Pre-K and Kinder will be dropped off on the side of the school along Milwee. The rest of the kids will come in the front entrance.
Uniforms - Principal Colemon is working on adding more options but here is the current uniform policy:
Khaki bottoms (pants, shorts and skirts)
Navy blue, hunter green, and white polo style shirts
College day on Mondays (shirt can be a shirt with a college logo)
Spirit day on Fridays (can wear official Wainwright spirit shirts, which can be purchased from the PTA. Jeans may be worn if a Spirit Day shirt is also worn)
Health protocols -
Face coverings will be required beginning on the first day of school
Hand sanitizer and other cleaning and disinfecting supplies will be provided, and buildings and buses will continue to be cleaned and disinfected daily.
After School Programming -
Will be available on the first day of school, provided by Wainwright teachers
First come, first serve
Currently limited to 50 students (we are working to increase the capacity as need arises)
Fall semester will be $325 for each student
Programming will include cheerleading, basketball, soccer, and academic tutoring
Pickup time will be 5:30 pm
